Supporting Learners with ADHD/ADD
Course Duration: 12 hours - 3 hours
This module sheds light on the lives of children with ADHD/ADD. Children can be diagnosed with ADHD, ADD or a combination of both. Educators need to have an understanding of how the condition influences the learning process. This knowledge enables them to develop strategies and opt for resources that positively impact the child on an academic and behavioural level.

During this module, our students will:
Identify the characteristics of learners with ADHD/ADD.
Explore the causes and prevalence of ADHD/ADD.
Assess the educational and behavioural levels of children with ADHD/ADD.
Learn how to provide an effective lesson plan for students with ADHD/ADD, in collaboration with other professionals.
Suggest possible IEP goals for children with ADHD/ADD.
Learn how to record and communicate the child’s progress to his/her parents and other professionals.
