Supporting Learners with Challenging Behaviour

Course Duration:  On Request

This module focuses on Social Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD). SEBD is an umbrella term for individuals whose behaviour difficulties emanate from social conditions, other mental health disorders, or comorbidities.

According to Cefai & Cooper’s research (2013), 10% of SEBD students in Malta attend resource centres. The rest attend mainstream schools. Therefore, LSEs need to be aware of the various conditions that fall under this category. Furthermore, they also need to identify the best strategies that they can use to support these children in their learning process.
