Strategies in working with children with diverse needs - Secondary Years
Course Duration: 12 hours - 3 hours
This module enables participants to develop the necessary skills to work with adolescents.
The Learning Support Educator should work in collaboration with the teacher to prepare strategies and materials. The focus of the LSE, however, must be students with special needs. Effective strategies developed with these students in mind greatly enhance their learning experience.
The Maltese Education System is divided into three modules: Early Years (Kinder to Year 2), Primary Years (Year 3 to 6) and Secondary (Year 7 to 11). The LSE needs to have an understanding of what these three modules entail, to effectively assist pupils at different stages of their development and education.
