Adaptations & Modifications of the Maltese language
Course Duration: 9 hours - 3 hours
This module enables learners to gain a better understanding of Maltese linguistics. This knowledge is essential since the Maltese language is a core subject in Malta's education system. Furthermore, it enables Learning Support Educators to develop the appropriate pedagogical approach when it comes to teaching Maltese to their students.

During this module, our students will:

Learn all about the linguistic components of the Maltese language, including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics.

Analyse the Maltese language’s sound and grammatical systems.

Compare and contrast Maltese with other languages in terms of systematic differences in phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics.

Analyse the structure and function of language in discourse.

Identify the difficulties students with dyslexia and dysgraphia face when learning different languages.
