Introduction to Child and Adolescent Development
Course Duration: 9 hours
This module explores child development’s main theories via a step-by-step approach that illustrates the ‘normal’ physical, psycho-social and cognitive developmental stages of children from 0 to 18 years of age.
Overall Competences
During this module, our students will:

Learn more about children’s physical, psycho-social, emotional and cognitive developmental stages (0-18 years).

Identify the developmental challenges that children with special needs face.

Develop strategies that promote inclusivity in the classroom as well as the student’s personal and academic development.

Learn how to prepare adapted handouts and activities according to the student’s needs.
