Option 1: Managing Meetings Effectively (2 ECTS)
Learning Outcomes:

- Define and identify different types of meetings and identify the purpose and desired outcomes of the different types of meetings.
- Determine if the meeting is necessary or if the issues can be addressed outside of a meeting.
- Identify and invite only the necessary and appropriate people for the meeting.
- Communicate effectively with attendees to maximise participants’ contribution
- Communicate the meeting’s purpose and desired outcomes to all attendees.
- Know and explain the importance of organisation for meetings including location, documentation and equipment
- Explain the importance of an agenda and minutes and write an agenda and minutes.
- Evaluate meetings’ outcomes against set objectives
- Know and explain the different types of roles taken during a meeting
