Course Overview

Intro

Business is about profit. Knowledge of effective financial management is an essential prerequisite when it comes to setting up a sustainable business. This MQF Level 7 module (4 ECTS) expands on the current basic knowledge of financial management. In addition to essential budgeting, financial and budgeting principles, participants will learn how accounts are read and managed. After all, a sound understanding of basic economic concepts is necessary for good decision making.

Overall competences

During this module, participants will learn how to:

• Integrate the financial management knowledge acquired through self-directed learning and formal means to instruct trainees on basic accounting principles.
• Access and synthesise financial information from various sources and use it to critically assess an organisation’s performance, capital requirements and financial risks.
• Manage a finance-related project through the effective use of accounting software
