Course Overview
Intro
Our Award in Facilitating and Adapting Education for Students with Diverse Needs (a.k.a 10 weeks) (16 ECTS) gives our students the necessary competencies to become professional Supply Learning Support Educators.
This qualification provides the skills and theoretical knowledge needed to work with children with diverse needs.
During this course, our students will learn all about child development, the dynamics of various disabilities, the spectrum of learning difficulties and pedagogical strategies.
Overall Competences
During this module, our students will:
- Become more aware of children’s diverse needs and how they affect the learning process.
- Be exposed to best practices (evidence-based practices) when it comes to educating children with diverse needs.
- Learn the necessary skills to create an inclusive class environment.
- Learn all about the LSE’s responsibilities, especially when it comes to collaborating with other education professionals.
- Learn how to use AAC devices to teach the children in their care.
Mode of Delivery
The Award in Facilitating and Adapting Education will be delivered through blended learning, with 50% of contact hours delivered online and the other 50% of contact hours delivered face-to-face.
