Course Overview

Intro

This MQF Level 5 module (2 ECTS) helps our students to understand the transformations an older adult goes through, and how this affects the person’s physical, cognitive and social-emotional states.

Overall competences

Upon completion, our students will be able to:

• Put their knowledge about elderly persons’ developmental stages into practice.
• Analyse and cater to the patient’s socio-emotional, cognitive and physical needs.
• Examine and professionally deal with the patient’s family issues, taking into consideration the developmental perspective.
