Diploma in Customer Care

Intro

Our Diploma in Customer Care gives learners the competencies to work professionally as Customer Care service providers.

This qualification will provide the necessary theoretical knowledge, practical skills and competencies that will empower learners to implement the customer service skills they learnt during the course in a real-life setting.

This course is ideal for those individuals who would like to work as Receptionists, Customer Care agents, Customer Service Supervisors or Customer Service Managers in the Service Industry.

It’s also highly recommended for people who are already working in the customer service industry and those who work in a different sector but want to improve their customer service skills.

Upon course completion, our students will be able to:

  • Work in any customer care setting.
  • Understand the organisation’s services and products better. 
  • Network with all units within the organisation.
  • Cope well with workplace stress.

Mode of Delivery

The Diploma in Customer Care will be delivered through blended learning, with 50% of contact hours delivered online and the other 50% of contact hours delivered face-to-face.

The candidate must have:
1. Any recognised Qualification at MQF Level 4 (including MATSEC A Level/Intermediate)

OR

2. Matsec Ordinary level (MQF 3) in at least 2 subjects (English Language and another language or Maths) and at least 5 years’ experience in a customer service provider role or in any related role (references will be requested from present and previous employers including Jobsplus employment history)

OR

3. Matsec Ordinary Level (MQF 2) in at least 2 subjects (English Language and another language or Maths) and at least 8 years’ experience in a customer service provider or in a related role.

Moreover, the candidates must also:
1. Be proficient in English and Maltese preferably at Matsec Ordinary level or the equivalent (candidates might be asked or requested to sit for a Maltese and English or either proficiency test at this level if the need arises; moreover, foreign candidates must have a proficiency test in English)

AND

2. Have moderate digital competencies, regular access to a computer, tablet, or other suitable mobile device, and a reliable internet connection AND
Must be working in the customer service sector or be willing to carry out a number of hours working in the customer service sector gaining work experience in this area.

The candidate must have:

1. Any recognised qualification at MQF Level 4 or Matsec ‘A’ Level

or

2. Matsec Ordinary level (MQF 3) in at least 2 subjects (English Language and another language or Maths) and at least 5 years of experience as a customer service provider role/related role.

or

3. Matsec Ordinary Level (MQF 2) in at least 2 subjects (English Language and another language or Maths) and at least 8 years of experience as customer service provider/related role.

(For international students, they will be exempted from Maltese. However, they need to present another subject at the same level. Moreover, if they do not have an ‘O’ Level in English, they would need to present an English certificate in TOEFL or IELTS.)
