Course Overview
Intro
This qualification is ideal for those who want to work as Learning Support Educators (iii) and Inclusive Coordinators (INCOs) in government, church and private schools in Malta.
Our Top-Up Degree in Inclusive Education is also internationally recognised, enabling our students to apply for the position of Support Educator/Teaching Assistant in schools abroad.
Overall Competences
During this module, our students will:
- Explore different issues related to child development and education.
- Gain an understanding of the challenges faced by children with special needs in the school setting.
- Recognise best practices when it comes to educating these children.
- Develop the ability to assess a child’s numeracy and literacy levels accords to the National Curriculum (NMC).
- Recognise the importance of implementing values such as inclusion, equality and acceptance in the classroom setting.
- Learn how to collaborate with other education professionals in and out of the classroom to enhance the pupils’ learning experience.
