Course Overview

Intro
Coaching and mentoring are two skills that should be present in every manager’s toolkit.
They enable individuals and corporations to reach their full potential. Furthermore, coaching and mentoring facilitate the exploration of needs, motivations and skills, allowing individuals or companies to make real, lasting decisions. They also empower the client to achieve goals by setting an agenda and assessing progress.
This MQF Level 6 module (6 ECTS) introduces the basic principles of coaching and mentoring to our students. The module empowers them to take the role of a coach/mentor at their workplace and to foster team unity.
Overall competences
During this module, our students will:
- Understand what makes a successful coach and mentor.
- Discuss the various psychological theories that inform coaching and mentoring.
- Use these skills to enhance individual and team performance.
- Adapt their coaching style according to the needs of the individual.
- Monitor and assess their performance and progress in this field.
- Plan and organise workplace coaching sessions.
