Award in Business Process Reengineering (BPR)

Award in Business Process Reengineering (BPR)

Intro

Business process reengineering (BPR) is the act of recreating a business process to improve product output, quality, and reduce costs.

BPR involves the analysis of company workflows and the identification of inefficient processes.

It requires managers and decision-makers to come up with alternatives to replace inefficient processes. Essentially, it involves changing something people are used to and creating something that’s more beneficial to the company in the long run.

Proper execution of BPR can be a game-changer. This MQF Level 7 module (15 ECTS) examines how managers and CEOs can use technology to facilitate BPR and transform their company into a forward-facing and sustainable business.

Overall competences

During this module, our students will:

  • Integrate knowledge from various sources to learn about the importance of BPR and how it bridges business operations and system engineering.
  • Make judgements on how business processes can be radically improved to reduce process cycle time/cost and improve the quality of the products/outcomes.
  • Monitor current business processes, diagnose problems and develop a BPR strategy.
