support empathy

Intro

Developing empathy and giving support to friends and family is highly advantageous to the community and our own personal growth. Empathy is the ability to put yourself in another’s shoes and truly understanding what others feel. It allows a person to sense others’ feelings and concerns. Support is the act of being emotionally present for another individual or group therefore empathy and support act together. They work on behalf of you and your relationships and through being empathic, you are being supportive. Learning how to balance the support you give to others and your understanding of those feelings is beneficial to everyone.

During the module, our students will:

  • Learn what empathy means.
  • Discuss how support and empathy relate to each other.
  • Build better relationships with peers.
  • Build upon personal development.
