The Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) is a unique Erasmus+ initiative that brings together participants from different countries, cultures, and academic backgrounds for short, intensive learning experiences. In May 2025, the Malta Leadership Institute (MLI) hosted a dynamic BIP focused on multicultural dialogue, inclusive education, and global citizenship.

This programme blended in-person workshops with virtual collaboration, allowing students and educators to engage across borders. Participants explored topics such as:

• Cultural identity and awareness

• Intercultural communication strategies

• Team-building in diverse environments

• European values and inclusive leadership

Through interactive activities, group discussions, and creative tasks, the BIP empowered young people to reflect on their own cultures while gaining a deeper appreciation for others’. It fostered not just academic learning, but also empathy, openness, and international friendship.

This initiative is part of the broader effort to equip future leaders with the intercultural skills needed in today’s interconnected world.
