Designing and Implementing Provision Maps & IEPS in Primary Education

Course Duration:  44 hours

Together with the principal teacher and INCO, LSEs are responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing IEPs. Additionally, the LSE needs to work in collaboration with the teacher to adapt the IEP according to each student' needs. 


  1. Designing IEPs for Primary-school-aged children with special needs

  2. Principles of management, leadership and administration

  3. Planning, setting and reviewing the IEP

  4. Setting S.M.A.R.T goals 

Overall competences

During this course, our students will:

  1. Plan and design IEPs according to the Universal Learning Design (UDL).

  2. Identify strategies and methods to implement IEPs and provision maps.

  3. Review IEPs and provision maps, and suggest improvements.

  4. Recognise the importance of assisting children, parents, teachers and other professionals in the IEP implementation process. 

  5. Learn how to collaborate with the principal teacher and INCO when developing IEPs and provision maps.
