Award in Understanding the Different Levels of Care for the Elderly Person
Course Duration: 15 hours - 3 hours
This module will focus on the differences between primary, secondary and tertiary care. Furthermore, our students will learn how to distinguish between acute and chronic health settings.
During this module, our students will
Outline and examine elderly persons' primary needs in the community.
Analyse the difficulties elderly persons face in acute settings and propose solutions.
Investigate the needs of elderly persons in long-term settings such as care homes.
Discuss what needs to be done to improve the elderly's quality of life at all levels of care.
