FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are all LSE modules assessed via assignments?

No, the method of assessment is blended, meaning that there may be a mixture of both assignments and exams.

A module can be assessed through an assignment of 2k, or else through various shorter assignments. There are particular cases where a module is assessed through both an assignment and an exam, in which case the exam can either be an MCQ or else a short essay.

Are the courses accredited?

We offer both accredited and unaccredited course. A course with an MQF level is an accredited course (accredited by Malta’s MFHEA, p.k.a. NCFHE.) All our accredited courses are recognised by the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

What is going to happen once the pandemic is over?

We’re following the instructions that are given to us by the MFHEA. For now, most lectures will continue being held online. However, we might still hold some lectures in class, since that some modules work better in a class setting.

How many lectures/seminars etc. per week?

Lectures are held once a week. However, there will be instances where you will have more than one lecture during a particular week. If a lecturer is unavailable and the lecture is cancelled, that lecture is rescheduled from our end, and you will immediately be informed via email/LMS.

I have a questions about an assignment/lecture. Who can I contact?

Please contact us on info@maltaleadershipinstitute.com or get in touch with your lecturer via LMS/email.

When is the letter of acceptance issued?

The Letter of Acceptance will only be issued once the course deposit has been paid. We should receive the deposit at least fifteen (15) days before the course start date.

Do I need to send over a copy of my certificates when applying for a course?

All applicants should present (in paper or digital format) all the certificates that are needed to assess eligibility. These need to be sent at least a day before the course start date. For more information regarding eligibility criteria, kindly refer to the information that was sent to you by our team.

How can I apply for module exemptions due to prior qualifications?

You must complete the following exemption form: https://form.jotformeu.com/jesfrig/rpl. You need to make this request when applying for the course. An official response will be issued during the first week of the course.

When do I need to inform you if I decide to drop out?

If for any reason, you decide to drop out, you need to inform us at least 10 (ten) days before. If we are informed ten (10) days plus before, you are still entitled to a partial refund (according to the amount of deposit requested and the MQF Level of the course).

I would like to switch courses. Is it possible for me to do so?

If you want to switch courses (e.g. from the Certificate course to the Diploma course within the same faculty), you need to inform us at least two weeks before starting the course. If this change requires an additional deposit fee, then this change will be only accepted on the condition that we receive the payment immediately. Unfortunately, we cannot accept such changes if you’ve already started the original course.
