Sharon Balzan graduated from the University of Birmingham with a ‘Masters in Education’ specialisation in “Severe Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (Qualitative methodology)”. She specialised in Autism and Intellectual Impairment. She is also an Inclusive Education graduate from the University of Malta.

Sharon is passionate about supporting students with Autism. She is an activity leader with the Autism Parents Association. She worked as a researcher at MCAST and as a Social Emotional Behavioural Difficulties specialist within the education department.

Currently, she is finalising her PgDip in Research Methods, where she is focusing on Qualitative methodology. Presently, Sharon is working as a primary teacher. In the past, she has also worked as Learning Support Educator.
