Before joining Malta Leadership Institute, Stephen Demicoli worked in mental health services in Malta and the UK.
Stephen studied Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the University of East Anglia during his practice in the UK and earned a Certification by the National English Board of Occupational Safety and Health.
He worked in Secure Units and Medium Secure (forensic) hospitals, local prison services and rehabilitation units.
Stephen has been leading Malta’s Crisis Intervention Team since its formation. He’s also involved in teaching, mentoring and preceptorship both in Malta and abroad.
Stephen is also one of 5 Maltese professionals licenced by STORM UK to teach its risk management programmes.
